Recycle Polycarbonate Plastics โ€“ did you know?

You know, recently the Canadian government prohibit Polycarbonate plastic baby bottles. This is the act to concern over plastic that use for food and drink. This act supports the issue about the recycling of plastics.

You should know that there seven categories of plastics. They are denoted by a number which can be seen within the recycling symbol on the products. Generally, the numbers range from number #1 to #7. You see, they all have different chemical composition that will determine their each function.

It has a great dimensional stability, optical clarity, balance of toughness, and high heat resistance. However you should be aware with the addition of biphenyl A (BPA) in a PC container. This is a main factor that will build block of Polycarbonate plastic. The scary thing is that the studies have found the migration of BPA into the food container. In general, there is no possibility to recycle the plastics. However you can find the way to reuse plastic containers.
